Catwalks to Beauty – Johnston Canyon, Banff National Park

One of my favorite hikes in Banff National Park is through the Johnston Canyon.  The relatively short hike takes you through the impressive sheer canyon walls that have been carved by the Johnston Creek.   The path includes a mixture of fun catwalks; just be careful as they can be slippery.

The trailhead is 17.5km along the Bow Valley Parkway.   The trail itself is 1.1km to the Lower Falls and 2.7km to the Upper Falls; distances are one way.
