A Photographer’s Fridge – circa Pre Digital

For all those digital shooters out there; this is what a photographer’s fridge used to look like.  Maybe a little more beer.

Sad to see the price of Fuji film going up 20% this month, but at least I am well stocked up.

Lens Calibration Tools – Cureall or Snake Oil?

When photographers started getting their hands on DSLRs that provided AF calibration, they quickly realized that their lenses/AF were performing sub-optimally.  To the rescue came products like LensAlign and SpyderLensCal with the promise of providing accurate calibration for all of your lenses.

The big question is do they really work?  Are the lens calibration tools currently on the market a cure-all for poorly calibrated lenses or do they fall under the “too good to be true” category.  As with most things it depends.  Are you shooting with prime lenses or zoom lenses?
